News & Announcements
12/8/2008
Thanks to all who came to place the Nativity set in front of the Church on
Sunday. This week we will be continuing our work on the knives and sheaths.
Camp-in is this coming Saturday starting at 1 PM.

The Troop swim is booked for Saturday December 6. The cost is $5 per scout.

Thanks to all /who helped buy food, cook, serve and clean-up our Annual
Thanksgiving Feast at Wompatuck. We served over 136 people!

Veteran's Day parade is tomorrow morning. Troop and Pack 22 Scouts are in
Division 4 and will assemble at Player’s Restaurant at 8:30 AM.

Crew 22 has been approved to open its doors. The addition of this new
Scouting program allows the 22 Whitman family to add boys and girls to the
program in a new set of challenging activities. Please see our Crew site for

This week is our annual Halloween party. Come dressed for the night and be
ready for games, a food contest, snacks and pumpkin carving!

This week's troop meeting is on Automotive Repair. We will meet at the
Methodist Church on the corner of South Ave and Franklin Street. Come in Class B
uniform!

The troop is meeting tomorrow at noon at King Richard's Faire. Scouts should
wear their Class B shirts. This event is open to the whole family.
Special Activities
Out West 2009
In the summer of 2009 we are going to follow the path of the "Wild Bill" Hickock and Red Cloud out west. While we are on our journey, we will visit many historic and natural sights and taste cultures unknown to the scouts except through books and movies. We have also scheduled three Breakout days for the scouts to try the local waters and trails. See our info page here!
Railroading 2009
All month in January the troop is building a model railroad and working towards Railroading Merit Badge. We are looking for help in purchasing, tool and building and crafting from both scouts and adults for these troop meetings.
